How the Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Equipment works?
Sludge Dewatering Equipment Components and Process Stages:
1. Sludge Conditioning Tank
Before the Dewatering proess, the sludge is temporarily stored in a conditioning tank.
2. Flow Control Tank
Over flow pipe regulates the sludge feed to the Dewatering device. Extra sludge will be returned to the conditioning tank.
3. Flocculation Tank
In the flocculation tank, the sludge will be mixed with flocculant which enables dissolved particles to aggregate in large flocs.
4. Thickening and Dewatering Cylinder
A screw mechanism pushes sludge through the moving rings of the thickening zone (where sludge is thickened) and the dewatering zone (where thickened sludge is dewatered).
5. Dischage Outlet
The end plate applies the final pressure to the sludge, and the dewatered cake is discharged.
