Wedge Wire Cylinder is a tubular filtration or screen element formed by continuously welding V-shaped (wedge) profile wires onto longitudinal support rods to create precision slot openings around a cylindrical surface. This cylinder form—also called slotted tube or screen cylinder—is designed for large-flow systems, high-capacity filtration, or sizing and separation tasks in demanding industrial processes.
Profile: V-shaped surface wires arranged helically or longitudinally around the cylinder.
Support rods: Longitudinal support rods welded to the profile wire to form a rigid, self-supporting tube structure.
Slot openings: Precisely controlled gap between wires forming continuous slots, enabling fluid to pass while retaining solids.
Materials: Standard stainless steel 304/316. Optional alloys: duplex 2205/2507, Hastelloy C276, Titanium etc.
Typical dimensions: ID range from 20 mm up to 2000 mm, length per customer specification.
